I've now spent around 5 hours today (six or seven total) trying to repair this wired internet thing. And it's still not fixed. I write to you now from Helen C. White College library where wireless internet is available. I'm soo sooo glad that I had the foresight to buy the computer with wireless capabilities...then again, I also bought this hunk of junk. Oh well, at least I'm online for a few hours (they are closing early tonight, so I've only got a few hours). Hopefully my problems will be solved on Monday. Until then, I'd better get what I wanted online done before I lose this capability again!

Come and do the happy dance with me - I'm online once again!
It only took several hours, two ethernet adapters, 5 tries of installing the program, 2 shut downs, and 4 or 5 tech guys to get my computer up and running again. I hope this never EVER happens again.
Oh how happy am I!!
Now I've just got to get everything done that I'm supposed to do today so I can enjoy tomorrow.
Ahhh!! only 2 days (including today) of break left!

Hello from the Land of Bucky
I would've written yesterday when I actually arrived in Madison but my computer's being stupid when it comes to hooking up to any internet, so I'm basically offline unless I find a computer to borrow (like I am right now). Hopefully DoIT (the tech place here on campus) can fix my problem soon, 'cause I NEED INTERNET NOW!!
Anywhoo....yesterday I had my third EEG done (I'm getting used to having that nasty glue in my hair). Sleep deprived was I, since they wanted me to fall asleep. It was the best hour of sleep I had gotten in a long time. I watched ANGEL the night before (borrowed from Erin), so I was pretty awake for the entire night until I hit about 7 AM, when I half dozed in and out in the car. I must once again thank Erin for loaning her DVDs to me, because I wouldn't have lasted otherwise. ANGEL is not only entertaining - storyline is complex but not hard to follow and never dull and the diolouge is funny funny - but kinda scary. At points I was afraid to leave the living room in case some eyeball was going to follow me or some freaky killer-mama ghost was going to yell at me for "stealing her son." Yeah, it was an interesting night.
I'm still avoiding my English paper...because of this I'm starting to get writers block and I'm unsure where I should begin. I have an appointment at 11 and I'll be seeing Moogie around 4ish to go shopping and find a fishy dinner. Now that I'm fully aware of it being Friday, I'm going to behave myself and not eat any red meat.

Homework on a beautiful day
So...much....HOMEWORK! Chapters of Zoology, hundreds of pages in History, papers in Spanish and English. I won't survive trying to this all in one week....and imagine if I had to do it all in one weekend! I've been able to catch up on a lot of my sleep...lots and lots :-) I've spent a lot of time with my cat and dog. I've even caught up on all that tv I am supposed to be watching while in college. I do miss my swimming and even (gasp!) climbing Bascom Hill (the easy side, not the one with Lincoln).
Hearing from Mr. Gilbertson and Mrs. Fortun today really made my day....They are both so funny :-)
I feel like getting up and dancing. I don't know why...perhaps lack of swimming and mountain climbing are affecting me. I'll be back to them perhaps by tomorrow. I love being at home, but I also love being in Madison. Go figure.

Pizza, Pets, Movies, and Moogie
Today Moogie and I spent together watching movies which featured several different countries. First up was "Le Divorcee" which was shot in France. A very interesting look on stereotypes, values, and miscommunication. Following that was "Under the Tuscan Sun", which featured Italy. My favorite of the three films. The third was "Lost in Translation" from Japan. Perhaps I need to see it another time or five before I can truly appreicate it's "artistic value". I must admit that I liked Bill Murry's performance, which created a flawed but generally likeable character and I can easily see why he was nominated for an Oscar. All and all a really nice non-stressful day (except picking out our pizza toppings and movies).
Well, Moogie's asleep, so I suppose I should head that way too. Since it's really windy here and the upstairs gets drafty, I'm sleeping downstairs. This means that Moogie can't get up in the morning and do her usual routine. She'll be able to get back into the groove on Wednesday or Thursday because I have to go back one of those days. So much to do, so little time!
