Good Saturday to all!

Computer's still working well. It's a little slow at times and the mouse likes to "jump", don't know what that's about, but overall it's working well. I'm slowly trying to get my programs reloaded and downloaded. My biggest problem are the driver disks which include Microsoft Word....worth about $140 at the Digital Outpost - that's WITH the student discount. Maybe I'll save up for it and suffer with Word Pad until I've got enough. Right now I've got to worry about getting most of my homework done this morning and finding something to wear for this afternoon. Black and white concert dress I can do, but spring-y?? I've got the perfect dress, but I have to find a sweater/coverup for my shoulders or I can't wear it :( Anyway, I'd better get going on that homework.

Just an Update

The computer's working fine, but I'm exhausted. I stayed up until 1 this trying to finish my English paper....It looks pretty good. Why not just get up earlier in the morning, you ask? Because I've got to get a Spanish paper at least somewhat written for an in-class composition (I want to memorize so i don't look like a complete goober when I get in there). Only 5 classes and one shift to go, and then I'm off for the weekend!

10 minutes. My computer has been online now for 10 MINUTES!!!!!!!! I will get up and do the happy dance if it makes it to 20. The ResNet guy came and used a different ethernet card, and it WORKS! Well, I just thought I'd let you know. I'd better get going on this paper I've got due.

I wish Friday wasn't so near

And of course the only reason I say that is because I've got two papers due that day - tomorrow. I'm not nearly as ready as I'd like to be, and I've got to work tonight too. Oh well, looks like a fun afternoon and night for me, since I've still got the ResNet guy coming at 2:30. I am really hoping everything works out ok.

Well, I'd better keep going on that research!!

It was a dark and stormy afternoon

I really know how to pick 'em. Today, thinking that it would be like the rest of the week, I decided to make a big loop on campus, going from Liz to the UHS and then to DoIT for more tech support and then to Noland (right next Door to DoIT) for my zoology discussion. It's really not that bad of a walk. Unless of course it's raining and you are carrying about 26-30 extra pounds of Laptop, laptop bag, and various books. Grand. Now I've spent the time after discussion trying to get spy-bot and such to work. Good news - I've got my internet connection time up to 7 minutes. Bad news: I wish it were longer. Looks like someone's going to call me back soon to give me more options. Hopefully, if everything goes well, I may have a working computer. Please, help me by praying to the computer gods that my computer works SOON. Sorry about the lack of e-mails....this computer-thing makes my being online time short and to-the-point (check for teacher's e-mails, write the blog, and that's about it). I hope everything's going well for everyone.

Some day I'll get all of this homework done

Jenny's still asleep, but I've been up for almost an hour. Gots to get going in the day. I hope to get more accomplished on the homework front before i get going. I've got to research the Dell site too. My computer still doesn't connect to the internet for long, but atleast it isn't freezing up with the card in the slot - a huge improvement. I hope to be able to go down to DoIT today with some answers instead of questions.

It works...sort of

Mike and Matt were here for about almost two hours trying to get this thing to work. And it does ... sort of. It kicks me offline every 5-7 minutes, so I lose all information I don't copy (like the last post I just wrote).
