Friday the 13 started as well as expected. I woke up at 4:40 to a power outtage. Apparently the lights had been off for over an hour due to some problem with a line. I luckily had brought the box with the flashlight, so I was able to make my way downstairs. I woke Matt up (my alarm is on my cell phone but I didn't know what he uses). We figured the best thing to do was to go back to bed for a little bit, since I couldn't check e-mails or check my bank account or post on my blog (I actaully wrote this at 5:30AM on my PDA and transferred it). Now I must head off to work and hope that when I return later this morning everything will be fixed because I don't know how long I can remain sane without my computer!
We finished work a half an hour early. No major problems, no dish machine breakdown, no Lakeshore vs. SouthEast (a very good thing since they outnumber us). I took a half an hour nap. Should get running back to work. I'll keep you updated should anything else happen.

Just a note for everyone - the only other thing that happened today was that I had to go through some hoops to get my internet up and running. All is well now, though :-D I am currently watching the opening ceremony of the Olympics - it is really interesting to watch!

Not ready to join the "Real World" again
I had the first real time off in ages, but it simply wasn't long enough. Saturday I spent with Taffy, going to the Farmer's Market, walking all over campus, and making weird concoctions for dinner. I went to the movie "The Notebook" with Rebecca and Naomi. Naomi just graduated from here, and will be heading to Mexico to start her job teaching English in a matter of days! Rebecca is the head supervisor at Liz and a really really nice person who always has a smile on her face. I don't think I've ever seen her cross.
Sunday I spent with the family. Went to Old Country, went shopping, went to Dodgeville. Spent the night doing laundry and watching movies (50 First Dates and Girl with a Pearl Earring). Spent most of Monday sleeping in (until almost 11 AM!!!), having lunch with Moogie at a small cafe on Main Street, researching digital cameras and printers at the Library, walking Daisy (I just about had to carry her back), and burning pictures and CDs for the ol' 'puter here in Jorns. Headed back (never enough time at the house for my Dizzy and Bubber) here, repotted Fred, George, Harry, and No-Name (I haven't found a good one yet), watched "Funny Girl", and went to bed. I couldn't fall asleep, so nervous about not getting up in time for work this morning. I start at 6:15AM but I want to get there extra early to find out were everything is.oooooo stupid "o" key!
Well, much to do (including a short nap before heading out!).
