A beautiful Saturday in store - and I have to work!

I only have to work lunch, but I'll miss out on quite a bit of a beautiful day. Am not sure if Mom's coming up today. I'm starting to run out of food and money...my big ol' paycheck was $33! Well, lots to do around here...read, watch TV, clean - all of those things I can't get done on a regular weekday.

I hope everyone can get out today and enjoy this beautiful day!

Good Friday Morning

Well, I'm going to be very tired next week! I've got shifts every morning and usually every evening....makes for a rough week. All and all, 27 hours of work (doesn't sound like much, but at 45mins travel time back and forth for a 2-2.5 hr shift, it takes up a lot of time!). So if you can't get ahold of me, that's generally where I'll be.

Other than that, not much happening. I met with the one tutor yesterday and I'll be meeting another next Tuesday. I'm heading out for a three shift day at work today in just a few minutes. The weekend is also busy with work - never a free moment wasted!

Wishing you all a happy and safe weekend.
Happy birthday ERIN!!!

Someone Please Help Me - Math doesn't like me!

I've got a quiz today for math.....and I'm a bit worried, because it's review. Why am I worried about review, you ask? Um....beecause I haven't had Algebra for two years, so I'm a bit rusty. The new stuff I understand just fine, though. I've been trying to find a tutor, which I finally got a reply yesterday .... the guy actually taught the course, and he makes you really pay for it! If anyone knows anyone who is willing to tutor me for less than $30/hr, let me know!

Until that happens, I guess I'll be praying to the math gods for some help and bugging the teacher every morning.

I got to see Moogie last night. She stayed until 8PM (when I finally got out of work) to say hello and give me a new calculator (which I really needed since mine from freshmen year of high school is starting to die). I guess she even yelled to Naomi to see if I was around...lol.

I suppose I should either go study, or go back to bed....the latter is sounding better and better :-D

As the one month passes, let's look back

Tomorrow will be the day that 5 Wednesdays ago my family was turned upside down. A lot has happened since then. I've taken two spring finals, finished a 3-week course, started my 8-week course, started work, gained a roommate, lost my mind (wait, that was already missing)....

Even though a lot has happened events-wise, I think that there is something even more important that has happened - my family has grown closer. There has only been one weekend that I did not see my extended family ... and I was so LONELY that weekend! We've said "see you soon" to Sharon in Madison, gotten together for the fun of it, visited with Grandpa's sister Ilien (hehehehehe) and cheered for Sarah while begging for candy at the Canoe Fest parade. Being with my family makes me realize how much I need and love them. When times are tough, I'm so lucky to have them there for me. And I'm always there for them too.

I'd give anything to have Mike back with us. But I know he's there 'cause I know he's an angel. And angels are ever watchful. I just hope he's not watching me ALL the time!

Back at Madison and no longer lonely

my roommate Marissa has arrived. She moved in this afternoon with far less stuff than I ..... should I have brought less?? She seems really nice ... just graduated last Friday from high school! Geez...I should've done that (Gone to summer school before my first fall semester)...I'd be a senior by now!

By calling DoIT I hope to have made my computer a bit more bearable. The tech guy helped me remove some of the crap bogging down my computer. Seems to be a little faster...I hope it gets even better. I found a virus trying to attack, but not opened yet. Hopefully I have gotten rid of it. I scanned it only a day before I left!

I have work really early in the morning, so I want to be able to get up and get going - meaning early to bed for me!

I had a fantastic day at the parade...the dark clouds turned into blue skies in mere hours. I got lots of candy..athough not as much at Moogie! Lol. Great time to spend with the family!
