Today, I may have been at work for almost 10 hours, but it almost all of it had to do with some sort of Badger Football pride.
First things first, we had a drop-off meal at one of the engineering buildings. Well, we went to the one John (the driver) thought it was. It happened to be the building where the busses, trailers, and mobile home were parked for the ESPN's "Game Day" show. John cursed them for "blocking" the driveway. John need not have worried for two reasons. First of all, he can back up anything, in any situation. And it was a beautiful parking job (only a couple of hundred yards away from the actual "Game Day" booth!). The other reason was that we were at the WRONG BUILDING! We were supposed to be next door!
After that, we were at the Wisconsin Alumni Association luncheon where they gave me a "Beat Penn State" pin, which I wore. And it was a good thing since Penn State's color happens to be the same color as our workshirt! I could've gotten beat up - well, more like teased - for being even a suggested Penn State fan!
But I fit right in w/o the pro-Badger pin @ the Penn State Alumni Association tailgate. There I met two really nice (and nice-looking) male cheerleaders (one even thanked us for coming!) and Gabe, a just-graduated Penn State alumni who asked for directions (and was also totally cute!). They gave us lots of stuff too, including stickers, pictures, pompons, a button that says "Too Badger gonna lose" (aka "too bad you're gonna lose") - to which I shall add "Penn State!" and a Penn State Alumni Association visor - to which I shall add my "Beat Penn State" and revised Penn State pins to.
Now I'm back here at Liz writing to you (I just lost the first draft!),typing one of the Liz higher-ups about missing dry-erase markers & my dry-erase board (like, the entire BOARD), and watching the Badger game (since Moogie is really bad at trying to explain what is happening over-the-phone, and calls Penn State the "bad guys"). I hope to soon start homework ..... or maybe I'll just work on Moogie's Christmas present. Well, the game's getting really interesting, with Penn State is now on their 3rd-string QB since one has a hurt shoulder and the other was taken to the hospital(!). Will tell you what happens!
