Not summer yet

Sadly, the nice warm-weather days left Wisconsin for the time being. We actually had some snow on Friday night as my friend Mallory and I went out for dinner and a tour of the city. Charlie the car had a few slips but overall we made it home ok.

Saturday I spent with the family. Mom and Matt came to Milwaukee and we went to the Public Market downtown and walked around Bayshore Town Center. The Market was great - lots of great Wisconsin-made products. It is like a year-round indoor farmer's market. Bayshore is an open-air mall with every major brand name you can think of. We enjoyed looking at their entertainment center, which had 6 movie screens and unique bowling alley. Matt had to go to the Cheesecake Factory for a couple of slices of Cookie Dough cheesecake. We also played some Wii MarioKart...I totally would've won had not 5 other competitors conspired against me ;) Matt took first and I got third overall, one of my best races ever.

Today I spent the day at the mansion. Unlike the last few weeks, today was rather busy. We had 10-20 visitors per tour. I'm very happy, it'll keep us from getting too bored. Lots of tourists coming to Milwaukee. One couple was very surprised at how friendly everyone was, no matter what hour of the day!

Well, tomorrow I help with the cleaning of the dining room and attend class. I should get going on all of that work!

Have a great week!
