Lots o' love in the Land of Pet Hair

I was welcomed to Dodgeville with a big styrofoam container of Chinese food, a psycho dog, and a silly cat. A happy homecoming. Moogie and I left Madison around 5ish...we were going to see a movie, but I just wanted to be here with Buddy and Daisy. Now I'm here, and everyone's asleep. I should get some sort of homework done, but I'm starting to get sleepy fast. I'll only be here for tomorrow and then Sunday Morning before we head back for the family Easter on the east side. Should be fun :) This past week has been so stressful and sleep deprived that my sleeping in tomorrow morning (even if only until 7:30AM) is something I'm really looking forward to. And with a loving wet nose to wake me up, too. I smile already. It probably won't be as funny when it actually happens, though.

It's funny.....what you miss when you are gone. It's the little things, like Buddy falling asleep so that you can't move for fear of waking him. It's Daisy waking you up with big ol' sloppy kiss at 4AM. It's Moogie making eggs with ham and cheese and Matt waking up with bed head which he never combs out. It's stuff like that that makes a person realize how lucky they truly are.

What are those moments for you??

Stayin Alive

Too much work. I've worked every night this past week, so I've had to stay up late in order to get homework done. Next week will be much better, with only 1 extra shift instead of 4. This morning I've got a test in Spanish...should be interesting how that turns out.

I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to return calls and send e-mails sometime next week when life slows down a bit.

having a life means no sleep for me!

Because I'm trying to get out and do stuff, I seem to have little time for much else, like homework and sleep. I've been working every free night this week, except for tonight, which I spent with Erin and Alaina, helping them find foods they can eat (Erin has medical restrictions, Alaina's allergic to wheat). Found some cheap charms to add to my bracelet. Before I went out with Alaina and Erin I was with Matt and Moogie.

For paying a lot to see a doctor, he really didn't make his full hourly wage in the five minutes that I saw him. Restrictions won't be lifted on my license for a month. He got upset when I told him I'd decreased my dosage (which is exactly what I told him the first time I saw him....grrr). Now I must increase my dosage, but not to the degree to what it had been before....hopefully no side effects. Other than that, I spent more time getting there than actually being there. Oh well, must get well some how.

Well, the night grows short and I've still got homework to do and work in the morning. Some day I'll catch up and get a full night's sleep.

Hello Monday Morning

After a late Alias episode (on an hour later than usual) and a smoothie made by Erin (very good and healthy), I had a ton of homework left to do, so I ended up staying up until around 11:30. Explains why I had a hard time rolling out of bed this morning. Oh well, the day is young and it's going to be a long one.

Yesterday was a day with the family. We went to the "Great Dane" for lunch. Such a buffet as I had never seen before! Shrimp, lamb, turkey, salmon, ham, the pies and pastries and so much more! So good it was my only meal of the day. After than (since almost everything else was closed) we went to Barnes and Noble to wander around (found two of my favorite movies on DVD....I hope to get back there soon with money!). Matt left with Mike after that, so Moogie and I went to Shopko shoe shopping and then to the movie "Hildago" (Moogie likes Viggo Mortenson). Nice movie, good acting, but a lot of blood and gore for a Disney movie.....maybe it's because there is blood and gore...?? Came back to Liz and there you have my Easter sunday. I really had a good time, but now I wish I hadn't read the Zoology...I didn't understand most of it anyway!

Happy Easter

Just a short note to say hello. I worked my two shifts yesterday, and had a lot of fun. Then Nikki, Laura, Michelle and I hung out and ordered pizza....lots and lots of fun.

Moogie's in town, so I've got to get going. Have a great Sunday!
