Windy!

I got to sleep in until 10 AM today!

I've hurt my hand. It started aching Thursday morning while I was writing notes to study from. Yesterday didn't helpl with two writing-intensive tests back-to-back. I was excused from work because it was painful to hold anything between my index finger and thumb. I've had it in a homemade brace, which I was able to take off this morning. I have now b orrowed a real brace from Alaina.

i got to see Dan last night. He was in town for the State Forensics meet. He got a 25/25 score for his poetry. i also saw Michaela, Jacinda, and Erica. Everyone seemed to be having a really good time. :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN! - I should be Studying

I should be studying right now, but I needed some time between work and study to eat lunch and slow down. I've got two tests tomorrow - one for spanish and a midterm in History. Needless to say my hand will be quite tired from writing everything. I think I'll down to DoIT in the morning for my computer so I have it over the weekend. I'll probably take it back down next week when I get paid so I can get it fixed.

The only APRIL FOOLS Joke on me - by my Spanish TA. She said that due to the upcoming strike (there's been talk about the union striking because they aren't happy...I can honestly see why too) the spanish department was going to make us take our test today instead of tomorrow. she even had that interdepartmental packet which tests always come in. Thankfully it was a joke because although I had done some studying this morning, I am in no way ready for the test! This of course reminds me of what I should be doing right now.

Last night Moogie, matt, Erin (from school) and I went out to the mall for dinner. We then hit the toy store where I got Dan's present. I also took back that stupid computer part that Best Buy sold me that doesn't even work for my computer! Off to WallyWorld for some yarn for me and the first of three pairs of sun glasses for Erin. Woodman's was super cheap for me, more than 30 items for Matt, and Erin's two other pairs of sun glasses. I had tons of fun and hope to be able to do it again sometime. Thank you for coming to town, Moogie!

Congrats to Matt on his supervisor promotion! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN!!
Oh, Erin's computer's getting noisy again....even it knows I should be studying!

A solution in sight?

Sounds like the whole computer problem may be bad memory. As of right now none of my data is lost, but it will cost at least $50 for new memory. I'll have to go down to DoIT sometime soon and see what's up. At least they didn't wipe any of the hard drive.

Now I just have to find a time to go to DoIT......

Everything's Gone

Well, when I returned to the DoIT help desk, I got the bad news. My hard drive is going to be reinstalled, and everything on it is going to be wiped. All of my music, pictures, favorite websites, and old homework from the last two years is gone. The only three documents I did save were my resume, my dVD list, and my current english paper (of which there's only one more draft to write). I'll have to start all over again :-(

If it doesn't work after this, someone may catch that computer when fishing in Lake Mendota.

I will survive

I'm surviving without my internet, although I still catch myself thinking that I'll just hop on for a quick search. Yesterday I lounged about the dorm room and watched ANGEL while crocheting a scarf - my second scarf this week. I finished the second season in 5 days - that's what happens when Christi's disconnected. I'll probably take the computer in on Tuesday and give the scarves away. Oh well, at least I'm not out getting into trouble. I also cleaned up my messes all over the room (books and empty water bottles everywhere). Now I've got a little "Pirates of the Carribean" shrine near my bed (we had a themed dinner last Thursday and I got my very own pirate flag and paper hat!). Yeah, that's what happens when I run out of things to do. I can't wait until Friday, 'cause I'll know if I got the supervisor's position. I don't have my heart set on it (16 people applied for 3 positions...odds are against me), but I would still really like to be one. We'll see what happens.

I hope to get e-mails from everyone. Just 'cause I can't access them easily doesn't mean I don't want you to write!
