After a short shift of work - with only 2 people in the dishroom, and yet we got everything done! - Michelle and I went to eat at Ed's (hehehe) and then to "13 Going on 30" which I totally loved. We then giggled while walking to the bus stop, which we ended up running the last block because the bus was pulling away. So much fun, I wonder how I'll ever get to sleep!!

Saturday Morning Farmer's Market
Flowers, food, and fun were all found at the Farmer's Market! Alaina and I travelled down State Street to see the capitol in full bloom. So many treats, sweets, and small children! I bought some honey sticks from Howery's Honey Farm from Darlington, a cup of cat grass for Buddykins, and adopted a bogona plant (indirect sunlight and water, I can do that!). I haven't named the plant yet. Alaina bought a bunch of honeysticks and some flowers for her roommate. We also picked up a little something for Erin when she gets back.
After that, we headed back down State Street and visited some shops. Some very nice shops, but after awhile they all started to look alike. And some were EXTREMLEY EXPENSIVE. It was fun to go looking though. After all of that walking we decided to take the bus home and played card games while waiting for the driver. Now I am home and I should get going on some homework and/or packing to send stuff with Moogie tomorrow.
Hopefully tomorrow will be as nice (as in, not to hot, too cold, too windy, no rain) as today.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Instead of "BuckyLand" just call it "DuckyLand"
Ducks everywhere! In front of Ingrahm, in the Liz driveway, in the lake, at the Memorial Union. Seriously, ducks everywhere (I even have photographic evidence!)!!!! Everyone about is out and about with the beautiful weather, including those TAs on strike. The strike ended yesterday, thank God. I heard that Tuesday it was really hard to get into any building that they picketed, but Wednesday was almost a breeze (must've been the cop cars everywhere). I feel for them, I really do, but some of the stuff they did, some of the stuff I've heard (like they got a good offer but had the strike anyway), and some of the stuff that I know (like how Wisconsin pays out in federal taxes than it gets back, and all that money is going towards the Middle East) make me not support their cause. I didn't appreciate the days off, either, since I missed some study time with my TAs for our upcoming finals. GRRRRRR.
Other than that, not much happening around here.

Just another day at UW-Madison
Yesterday's concerts went well. I accidentally missed two parts to two different songs (one I just wasn't paying attention, the other was a flute-piccolo change I didn't quite make), but no one noticed (or at least hasn't commented on it yet). The choir concert also went well, although I forgot to tape my favorite show...ooops. I got back 20 mins into it and was still able to figure out most of what I had missed. Before yesterday's concerts, Moogie, Matt, and I went out to eat for Matt's birthday (on Tuesday, 4/27/04). I can't believe that he's going to be twenty!!! That means that I'm going to be nineteen and Moogie's going to be (gasp!)....twenty-nine and holding for ever and ever....but add eleven years onto that :-D Yep, we are certainly getting older this year.
Sounds like I'll be sticking around here for this upcoming weekend....then only one more week of classes and finals! Where did the time go??
Erin - Come back!!!!! Hope treatment is going well.
