Big fat fluffy snowflakes keep falling in front of my window. It is 9:30AM and already all of the buildings that I can see have been quickly covered with the fresh snow. I can't see Smith Hall, about 2 blocks down on Park St. so the visibility isn't very good. Still...what a winter wonderland....so very pretty. Even more so b/c I don't have to go outside today, I can just put my feet up with a cup of hot chocolate and watch as this snowstorm colors my world white.
The move back into Chad on Wednesday was interesting. Thank goodness we were here about 9:30AM for the major move stuff because when we came back at noon (groceries) the parking lot was full! Yesterday was an even more busy day for moving in......I've seen more people this morning in the bathroom than on our entire floor since I got back!! My roommate will be coming back on Monday morning (tomorrow) hopefully.....I hope she gets back from San Diego despite the storm!
Anyway, I'm just keeping myself and Ollie busy. I've been busy cleaning the room but not his tank yet (I'm avoiding again).
I've also been applying for jobs. Since catering's cut back all hours, I've had to start the search for non-catering work. I have applied to about 13 jobs now, with so far only one real taker. A job a Meriter, helping with file-pulling and such. Sounds like a good job for me, something I've never done so it'll be a challenge, and it'll give me steady hours too. I've also applied for a Wisconsin Historical Society position helping to catalog materials, a transcriber job where I'd be listening to audiotapes and writing down what happens, a phone-call center job where they are doing academic surveys, a job at the Law Library helping to restock, and a bunch of office assistant jobs. Hopefully something I like will come my way!
