Greetings!! And Happy New Year!

Hello everyone!

It has been such a long time since I last posted. I'm sorry for that. My jobs are going well. My last week before Winter Break I spent getting final approval for a program called "ELK" or Elementary Learning Kits, which are used for groups of students who don't have the ability to start a home library. Since I'm the one who basically does the entire program, both schools were more than happy to have me do it because otherwise they are rather stretched when it comes to spare work time.

I was moved out of my office at Marquette due to an increase in the SAPAR program, the pregnant teens middle/high school which is in almost 1/2 of Marquette now. I'm now just in the library, with a work station that I don't use often and a bank of computers which I am almost always on. I'm just happy to be there and helping out.

Christmas was great. I had two semi-breaks over my two weeks off. Matt and I traveled back to Dodgeville on the 23rd, in another snow storm if I remember rightly. Then we had the Smith Family Christmas on the 24th, which was as always wonderful. On the 25th Matt and I went back up to Madison, leaving Lily with Mom, Buddy, and Daisy. On the 27th started the Easter Seals' Respite Camp in Wisconsin Dells. I worked one-on-one with a camper who has a disability for 4 days. It was long, exhausting, and I feared that I would be a terrible counselor, but turns out I don't think I did too bad. It takes truly amazing people to be able to be counselors, tons of patience and enthusiasm. Matt and I headed back down to Dodgeville in some snowfall on the 30th. We spent the New Year at home, where I heard stories of Buddy and Lily having a kitty power struggle, with them both eating the other's food, playing with the other's toys, and sleeping in the other's bed! I guess the night after we left, Buddy was searching Mom's house for Lily :( Lily was content to be home and cheer me on in studying for the GRE, which I took yesterday (Friday).

I had a hard time concentrating on Thursday, I couldn't sit still. Which is why I'm delightfully surprised on how decent I did. It was slightly higher than the averages of others in my field/s of Social Sciences and Humanities did (according to my study guide book). Hopefully it will be enough for grad school, which I'm hopefully going to work on the application some more come Sunday.

Today I am going out with Sarah to a Badger basketball game and breakfast. Should be tons of fun!!!!!

I feel like I didn't get so much of a break with the camp and studying taking up a lot of my time. I wish I didn't have to go back to work on Monday!!!

Hugs, Christi and Lily
