I was planning on going to the Farmer's Market, but with the rain, I don't think I'm going. No need to get sick right now. I doubt many will be there anyway. Looks like rain all weekend....something's going to flood, I have a feeling.
MOM'S BACK IN WISCONSIN!!! Today she's getting Buddy and Daisy out of boarding. Soon we'll all be together!
Matt went all over town yesterday. Paperwork for work (taxes) and some other stuff that I can't tell you about...at least not yet. :-D I've got to clean this place up, especially since my roommate will be here soon enough. Hope everyone's well,

Woo Hoo! from extremely poor to just poor!
Someone must've heard what I was wishing, because my financial aid finally came so I finally can fix my computer! I'm going to hold off until next week...Matt thinks I should be able to put in new memory myself, but I don't think I'm going to take the chance that I break it even more...and possibly something that actually works in this silly thing! To celebrate, I bought a burger at the Union....sad, ain't it? That's all it takes to make me happy...and it's cheap too!
I'm in a group for my comparative politics class. WE ARE STUDYING THE EU ACK! THIS STUPID COMPUTER HAS JUST SHIFTED EVERYTHING WHICH MEANS I HAVE NO PERIODS OR NUMBERS!!!!!!! I HATE THIS THING
ANYONE WANT A SLIGHTLY USED AND EXTREMELY ANNOYING computer ????
Finally, back to normal. I'm thinking the begining of next week this thing will be at DoIT...like Tuesday!
Anyway, hope everyone's having a fantastic Friday!

News of a Roommate
For all those who wish to visit - if you want a bed, you've got to come before June 13th, for I shall have a roommate after then. Her name's Marissa, but I don't know if she'll have a disablity or not (since this room is built for a disabled person, but they stuck me in here....insert your joke here). I'll hopefully contact her and get a difinative date, especially since that's Canoe Fest Weekend and I'm planning on being out of town.
Will write soon,

A calming walk by the lake
After class yesterday, I came back to Merit to find my brother moving. He had a leak in the water line that is in the ceiling of his closet, so they moved him down the hall. Now he can't find his wallet, quarters for laundry, or passport...since there were lots of people in and out of his room, it's possible that they were stolen. He still hasn't completely unpacked yet, so there is some hope that they will be found. Now I'm worried because guys were here to fix a water leak in MY room last week when I wasn't here, but I did have stuff here!
I just couldn't sit still last night, so I went for a walk to the terrace at the Memorial Union. I really miss my lakeshore view because the lake always settles me down. I feel peaceful. While there I called Erin and talked to her while watching a family of ducks swim....little baby ducks! She's fine and working hard at Valley Fair (Erin, not the baby ducks!) While walking there I saw a car accident, with glass on the ground. I could've lost it, but somehow was able to get through the glass and memories and move on. No one was hurt.
I suppose I'd better go wash dishes and anything else that involves running water because they are going to turn it off to fix stuff today. Hope everyone has a good day.

Second Day of Class
I'm not sure how I'm going to sit still through a two hour power lecture and then discussion groups for an hour every day. It's really rough on the poor body...and I only had half a class yesterday! The reading is also very dry and very long....I had 90 pages to read last night alone! Time's moving so fast. Things that have been planned for months are already happening, like class starting and Moogie in Omaha. I have the feeling that the end of summer will come sooner than we all expected. Scary, isn't it? Just yesterday I was entering kindergarten!

Buenos Dias!
School starts today. I'm not ready for it....at least not mentally anyway. I don't even have an apple for the teacher!
Yesterday was my first day here in Merit House. Saturday night I slept with some of my lights on because I'm just a little nervous living here all by myself. There are still odd sounds....maybe it's all in my head. Or mice. Either way, I'm still a little jumpy. Anyway, back to Sunday. After getting my 7:45 AM wake-up call, I was ready to greet the world and Moogie and Matt at 9. We moved the last of his stuff into my room (he couldn't get into his until noon). Ran to Wal-Mart where I broke down and bought a DVD player...since my stupid computer doesn't have the basic program to read DVDs. Then we went to brunch with the family at 10AM. It was a little odd without Mike there, but I knew he was watching, laughing about how many desserts we all were able to eat. And Mike may still be able to fix my computer...well one of his programs anyway. Lots of pictures taken...lots of Lexus being her cutie pie self :-) We said good-bye to Aunt Sharon, who was going back to New Zealand. They'll be back in July, so it wasn't as teary as normal. I can't wait until the whole family gets back here again!! Then we hurried back to Merit so that Matt could start moving stuff out and Moogie could get to Dodgeville and get ready to leave for Omaha.
Moogie called last night to say she arrived at Omaha safe and sound. I expect an e-mail from Sharon when she arrives. And me...will I survive my class??? Boy, I sure hope so!
