Hola from Steenbock Library! All of us roommates and Heather have trekked over to Liz Waters/Nat Lakeshore land to concentrate on homework. I myself must get going on my paper...I've got over 1000 words left to write. Luckily, I did get some studying done during the Badgers/Gophers game....oh man, what an ENDING!!!!!!! With 30 seconds left, we were down 4 points. The Gophers punter was about to kick it to (as mom would say) the "good guys," the punter dropped the ball! He picked it up and tried to kick it again, but one of the Badgers blocked the kick. It bounced into the endzone, the Badgers covered it, got the touchdown and won the game! Heather fell off of the couch she was so excited. They were able to keep the Gophers from scoring when they got an interception with 23 seconds left. We won the Paul Bunyun axe for the second year in a row (it really is an axe, it's treated like a trophy, coveted by both teams, lots of bragging rights and a display case for it in both athletic departments). Woo Hoo!
After the game we went to a pumpkin farm to find the perfect pumpkin right out there in the field! Although Taffy, Heather, Heidi, and I had no problems finding the pumpkins of our dreams, Heidi's boyfriend Mike had us searching for his until the second tractor came around. Lots of fun. We ate dinner at Red Robin (Linda's fav) and even though it was busy, we had excellent service (like always). Yummy....I had 4 strawberry lemonades...I would've had more, but I didn't pace myself like I should have. By the way, chicken bbq is good. And the fries...bottomless.....alas, my stomach is not :( Heidi is making fun of me grooving to my tunes...."we are in a public place!" Reminds me that during the car ride Heather, while driving, was trying to groove, but Mike told her that she should keep her hands on the wheel and we'd do the grooving. Hahahhaha.....
Alas, I still have those 1000 words left. Why can't I just put my post into the paper? That'd make me a few words closer!
Lots of love, Christi and Oscar (probably still shaken from all of the jumping Heather did after she fell off of the couch!)
